2 out of 5 stars Not So Great   September 9, 2010

I see all of these glowing reviews, and I think, is this the same camera I'm using? Well it is, but my results are apparently not nearly as good as what others are saying. First and foremost, I would NEVER buy another Kodak camera again that has the Easy Share feature. With most other cameras, you plug the camera into a USB port and it appears as a device that can be accessed as a hard drive. Not so with this camera. You are FORCED to either load the (very) crummy Easy Share software on your computer (or some other picture grabbing software), and use that as your interface, or yank the card out of the camera and plug it into a reader. Having had cameras in the past where the battery door broke, (and that is where SD card is), I am very leery of constantly having to access this compartment. I'm also definitely NOT getting those clear crisp pictures that other owners seem to get. I had a Nikon Coolpix 2100 that did better in some cases. This video is very good, as long as you don't try to zoom while taking the video. Talk about blurry, until it settles back into focus. Also, one reason I wanted 10 mega-pixel, is that I had heard that more pixels result in less grainy low light shots. This camera does pretty well in rooms during daylight, even without a flash, but is not good at all in a partially darkened room.

I had a Kodak DX4330 3.1MP camera before this...took great pics, but it got stolen. anyway, went to a company BBQ today to give this a test as i only got it a week ago. i put it on the "general setting" didn't want to get into anything heavy as i also gave it to other people to walk around and take pics. the pictures were horrible...half of them i couldn't even use...I'm thinking if you want a camera that needs TLC...that each photo has to be fine tuned by putting in the correct settings...hold steady...watch your focus, this might be your camera. but, if you just want clear clean shots...no matter who is taking the pictures, go back with the DX4330. I'm going to buy another..the pics were great. I am VERY disappointed and actually embarrassed about this as I'm supposed to be sending out pics to all the employees of our BBQ. sorry Kodak, just make a great point and shoot that does a great job of focusing. the 3 pictures i had of other people taking pictures of me were unbelievably out of focus. i can't even use them. glad i paid only 90 bucks....what a waste even at that price.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Purchase   September 7, 2010

I was pleased with this item. The camera was purchased as a package--on sale-- for less than $200.00. I was very pleased, since I had a $200 limit. I continue to learn more about the camera in relation to lighting. For example, I noticed that in black-light environments that it gets blurry. However, there are different light settings on the camera itself. Overall, this was a worthwhile purchase.

Kodak EasyShare Z915 10MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5 inch LCD Black Kit (includes Battery, Charger and Bag)

I bought This camera for the very good offer it came with, 8 GB SDHC, Battery Charger and 2 AA rechargeable batteries, a case and 2 Alkaline replacement batteries. All for about $89! What a deal
The camera itself is not bad at all for this price, it has 10X optical zoom!
It takes crisp clear pictures at normal zoom, but when zooming closer you need a tripod or keep hands steady..it is very sensitive to shaking. The stapilizer feature is not that much effective iot seems.
The camera is made of plastic and very light in weight.
Video shooting is not HD but that's still very decent and acceptable to me.
I would recommend this camera to everyone wishing to go from normal to little advanced level

I have lusted after a 10X zoom camera for several years and when I saw this one listed I snapped it up. I have not been disappointed. It is a great buy for the money. My wife and I just returned from a tour of India and I was one of the few people in our group who did not have some sort of camera problem. I recommend this camera.
